MILD HYPERBARIC CHAMBER
Supporting your body’s natural repair, energy and recovery through the gentle power of oxygen.
How it Works
This short animated video offers a simple explanation of how HBOT works inside the body.
Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy (HBOT) works by increasing the amount of oxygen your body can absorb and utilise. Inside a gently pressurised chamber—above 1 atmosphere absolute (ATA)—oxygen dissolves more readily into the blood plasma. This means more oxygen reaches tissues that may be inflamed, fatigued, or lacking adequate circulation.
At Just Breathe, Moe, our mild hyperbaric chamber is variable in pressure, allowing sessions anywhere from 1.2 to 1.5 ATA. This offers flexibility for those who may not tolerate higher pressures, while still providing therapeutic benefits.
Each client also breathes through their own oxygen mask, allowing oxygen levels of up to 94% during the session.
This combination of increased pressure + higher oxygen concentration supports the body’s natural healing, energy production, and repair processes.
How HBOT Supports Your Body
Even though HBOT sounds technical, the way it supports the body is actually quite simple. When you combine gentle pressure with higher oxygen levels, your body gains access to more of the fuel it needs to repair, restore, and function at its best. Here’s what that looks like in everyday terms:
Better oxygen delivery: Under pressure, oxygen dissolves into plasma, not just red blood cells, reaching deeper into tissues.
More cellular energy: Oxygen fuels ATP — the energy your cells need for repair, resilience, and recovery.
Calmer inflammation: HBOT helps regulate inflammatory pathways and reduce oxidative stress.
Tissue healing: Extra oxygen supports collagen formation, capillary growth, and soft tissue repair.
Stronger immunity: Oxygen-rich environments enhance white blood cell activity and natural defence.
Improved circulation: Oxygen-rich plasma helps overcome areas with poor blood flow.
Why Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy is a Cummulative Treatment
Hyperbaric oxygen therapy isn’t a one-off fix — it’s a physiological process.
Each session gently increases how much oxygen your tissues can absorb. Over time, this shifts the body into a state where healing, repair, and reduced inflammation can occur more consistently.
Just like improving fitness, sleep, or strength, HBOT relies on repeated exposure. One session helps temporarily, but it’s the consistent, cumulative sessions that create deeper, more meaningful results.
With regular sessions, the body experiences:
More dissolved oxygen reaching low-oxygen areas
Repeated stimulation of repair pathways
Gradual reduction in inflammation
Improved mitochondrial function
Support for angiogenesis, collagen production, and stem-cell activity
What to Expect Over Your mHBOT Program
Because everyone responds differently, we break hyperbaric sessions into stages to help you understand the gradual changes that often occur with consistent therapy. These stages are a guide only, but they offer a helpful picture of why we suggest structured or tailored packages rather than single sessions.
Sessions 1–3
Oxygen saturation increases
Mitochondria begin ramping up energy production
Early anti-inflammatory effects begin
Subtle improvements in clarity, sleep, and recovery
Sessions 6–8
New capillaries begin forming
Stem cell mobilisation starts
Collagen production increases
Noticable reductions in swelling or irritation
Many people begin feeling more “lifted” and energised
Sessions 10+
Improved mitochondrial efficiency
Stronger overall repair and regeneration
Enhanced cognitive clarity and neurological support
Deeper improvements in chronic pain, inflammation, and energy
Sessions 20–40
Long-term benefits become more established
Capillary networks and tissue repair deepen
Immune and metabolic processes regulate
Most robust improvements for chronic conditions and resilience

Auto-immune conditions
Sports, Physical Work & Active Recovery
Recovery after training or heavy physical work
Muscle fatigue and soreness
Repeated strain injuries
Energy, Fatigue & Cognitive Support
Post-viral fatigue or “long” symptoms
Chronic fatigue or low daily energy
Brain fog, difficulty concentrating or mental fatigue
Stress, Sleep & General Wellbeing
Improved sleep quality
Deep relaxation during sessions
Reduced stress and emotional fatigue
Burnout of “feeling flat”
These sessions sit outside our standard studio packs because they require more consistency. Instead, we offer dedicated HBOT packages to make the number of sessions needed more affordable and achievable.
All packages have a 12-month expiry, and for best results we encourage 2–3 sessions per week during your program.

FAQ
-
Our standard sessions run for 65 minutes. This includes around 10 minutes to reach pressure, 50 minutes at full pressure, and 5 minutes for gentle depressurisation.
-
Just wear comfortable, everyday clothing. Shoes come off before you get into the chamber.
Because we don’t use 100% oxygen gas, there’s no need for cotton gowns or special clothing.
-
You cannot use the chamber if you have:
Inability to equalise your ears
Pneumothorax (collapsed lung)
Are undergoing chemotherapy with specific drugs
Pregnancy
You may not be able to use it if you have:
Claustrophobia
Upper respiratory infections (cold, flu, sinus)
Certain pulmonary conditions (COPD, pulmonary blebs, bullae)
Fever
We’ll always discuss your health history at your first appointment to ensure HBOT is safe for you.
-
As the chamber pressurises, you may feel a gentle build-up in your ears — similar to taking off or landing in a plane. You’ll feel your ears “pop” as they equalise.
Once full pressure is reached, you shouldn’t feel anything unusual — most people simply feel relaxed and comfortable.
-
This depends on your goals. We generally recommend completing your first 6 sessions close together (within 2–3 weeks), then adjusting based on your needs.
For general wellbeing or recovery, once a week may be enough.
For injury recovery, chronic conditions, or post-viral support, 2–3 sessions a week may be more beneficial. -
It varies from person to person. Mild hyperbaric therapy is cumulative, meaning each session builds on the last.
Some people feel subtle changes early on, but the most meaningful improvements typically occur around 6–8+ sessions, with deeper benefits at 10, 20, or 40 sessions depending on your goals.
-
Yes — mild hyperbaric oxygen therapy is considered very safe for most people.
You’ll be lying comfortably inside a soft chamber, and the pressure used (1.2–1.5 ATA) is much lower than medical-grade systems.
If you have sinus congestion, ear pressure sensitivity, lung conditions, or have recently had surgery, we will talk this through before your first session to make sure HBOT is right for you.
