MILD HYPERBARIC CHAMBER
Supporting your body’s natural repair, energy and recovery — through the gentle power of oxygen.
How it works
.Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy (HBOT) works by increasing the amount of oxygen your body can absorb and utilise. Inside a gently pressurised chamber—above 1 atmosphere absolute (ATA)—oxygen dissolves more readily into the blood plasma. This means more oxygen reaches tissues that may be inflamed, fatigued, or lacking adequate circulation.
At Just Breathe, Moe, our mild hyperbaric chamber is variable in pressure, allowing sessions anywhere from 1.2 to 1.5 ATA. This offers flexibility for those who may not tolerate higher pressures, while still providing therapeutic benefits.
Each client also breathes through their own oxygen mask, allowing oxygen levels of up to 94% during the session.
This combination of increased pressure + higher oxygen concentration supports the body’s natural healing, energy production, and repair processes.
How HBOT Supports the Body
Even though HBOT sounds technical, the way it supports the body is actually quite simple. When you combine gentle pressure with higher oxygen levels, your body gains access to more of the fuel it needs to repair, restore, and function at its best. Here’s what that looks like in everyday terms:
Better oxygen delivery: Under pressure, oxygen dissolves into plasma, not just red blood cells, reaching deeper into tissues.
More cellular energy: Oxygen fuels ATP — the energy your cells need for repair, resilience, and recovery.
Calmer inflammation: HBOT helps regulate inflammatory pathways and reduce oxidative stress.
Tissue healing: Extra oxygen supports collagen formation, capillary growth, and soft tissue repair.
Stronger immunity: Oxygen-rich environments enhance white blood cell activity and natural defence.
Improved circulation: Oxygen-rich plasma helps overcome areas with poor blood flow.
Why Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy is a Cummulative Treatment
Hyperbaric oxygen therapy isn’t a one-off fix — it’s a physiological process.
Each session gently increases how much oxygen your tissues can absorb. Over time, this shifts the body into a state where healing, repair, and reduced inflammation can occur more consistently.
Just like improving fitness, sleep, or strength, HBOT relies on repeated exposure. One session helps temporarily, but it’s the consistent, cumulative sessions that create deeper, more meaningful results.
With regular sessions, the body experiences:
More dissolved oxygen reaching low-oxygen areas
Repeated stimulation of repair pathways
Gradual reduction in inflammation
Improved mitochondrial function
Support for angiogenesis, collagen production, and stem-cell activity
What to Expect Over a Series of Sessions
Because everyone responds differently, we break hyperbaric sessions into stages to help you understand the gradual changes that often occur with consistent therapy. These stages are a guide only, but they offer a helpful picture of why we suggest structured or tailored packages rather than single sessions.
Sessions 1–3
Oxygen saturation increases
Mitochondria begin ramping up energy production
Early anti-inflammatory effects begin
Subtle improvements in clarity, sleep, and recovery
Sessions 6–8
New capillaries begin forming
Stem cell mobilisation starts
Collagen production increases
Noticable reductions in swelling or irritation
Many people begin feeling more “lifted” and energised
Sessions 10+
Improved mitochondrial efficiency
Stronger overall repair and regeneration
Enhanced cognitive clarity and neurological support
Deeper improvements in chronic pain, inflammation, and energy
Sessions 20–40
Long-term benefits become more established
Capillary networks and tissue repair deepen
Immune and metabolic processes regulate
Most robust improvements for chronic conditions and resilience
FAQ
-
Our standard sessions are 65mins. This allows for 10mins to reach pressure, 50mins at pressure and 5 mins for depressurization
-
Normal clothes, you take your shoes off for the session.
As we are not using 100% Oxygen gas, there is no need to change into cotton gowns
-
You cannot use the chamber if you have:
Inability to equalise ears
pneumothorax (collapsed lung)
Undergoing Chemotherapy with certain drugs
Pregnancy
You may not be able to use it if you have:
Claustrophobia
Upper respiratory infections (cold, flu, sinus)
Pulmonary Conditions (COPD, Pulmonary Blebs, Bullae)
Fever
-
As the pressure increases in the chamber, you will feel this build up in your ears and you will feel them pop as they equalise (same as when flying) Once pressure has been reached, you don’t feel anything - other than relaxed of course!
-
This is very dependent on the person. We recommend doing your first 6 sessions close together (over 2-3 weeks) and then you can adjust depending on your goals. For general physical recovery and health benefits, once a week may suit you. For injury recovery and chronic illnesses, a couple of times a week may suit better.

How long is a piece of string ? - this is very dependent on your goals of the sessions. Mild hyperbaric therapy is cumulative. Some people notice small improvements after a few sessions, but the most meaningful changes occur around 6–8+ sessions, with deeper benefits at 10, 20, or 40 sessions depending on the goal.
